'BMX MEN' - Nick Bruce Nick Bruce won the gold medal in one of the most crowded finals of last year's edition with a score of 91.67 points, delighting the Central Park with a triple whip backflip and a cork 720 executed to perfection.  The American will have to defend his medal competing against Daniel Dhers (Olympic silver) and Declan Brook (Olympic bronze).  'BMX MEN' - Lizsurley Villegas Liz dazzled in the Central Park Rio - Matadero passing in front of her opponents with incredible tricks like a 'tobogan' and a 360 transfer. 'SKATE MEN' - Angelo Caro The Peruvian athlete was crowned king of the Madrid Urban Sports streetpark after signing an excellent round with a scandalous trick: a gap 360 flip lipside that got the highest score in the competition. Caro will try that this year in the MUS that nobody takes away his SkatePark throne. 'SKATE WOMEN' - Virginia Cavalcante The Brazilian Virginia Cavalcante won gold in the first edition of the MUS after signing some tricks with a lot of quality and style such as a backside feeble in the handrail and a 360 flip that left the judges and her rivals amazed. Scooter

'Scooter Park'- Jamie Hull  Jamie Hull was crowned king of the Scooter Park when he surprised the judges and the audience with a double backflip double whip planked, a trick executed to perfection and with great ease. Hull will try to revalidate his title of king of the MUS Park against international opponents like Anthony Grant, who aspires to snatch the gold medal in this edition.  'Scooter Street' - Lucas Di Meglio The Frenchman conquered Madrid in the 'Scooter Street' category, leaving the entire StreetPlaza audience astonished. This year he will be looking to defend his position against world-class international rivals who will not make it easy for the Frenchman to win the gold again. 'BBOY ' - XAK Xak dazzled in the presentation of Breaking in the MUS2021, being the winner of the evening. In this edition Xak is preparing not only to win the MUS but also to get the first points that will lead him to his dream: to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.  'BGIRL' - Law Law drove the audience of the Urban Stage crazy with his impossible break steps and won gold in the first edition of Madrid Urban Sports. Madrid Urban Sports is preparing for its second edition after a spectacular staging in its first year. More than 48,000 people enjoyed the best international urban sports competitions, packed with Olympic athletes and accompanied by great icons of each of the sporting disciplines.

The citizens of Madrid have an appointment with great athletes such as Daniel Dhers, silver medalist in Tokyo 2021 and fourth in the last edition, or Angelo Caro, skateboarding champion in 2021 here in Madrid and Olympic finalist in skateboarding. The great Peruvian talent will return to Madrid Rio-Matadero to defend his gold medal. Other great athletes such as Virginia Fortes, Nick Bruce, Lucas Di Meglio or Jamie Hull will be the big names to follow in this second edition of Madrid Urban Sports.

The councillor responsible for sport, Sofía Miranda, highlighted the council's commitment "to bringing sporting activity to young people through new urban trends", and said that "having Olympic references in different disciplines is one of the best examples to encourage young people in the capital to pursue their dreams".

Freestyle battles, concerts by artists from Madrid's urban scene and the best urban art will once again be the great attractions that will complement the sporting competitions.

The MUS is once again a great commitment by the capital to become the epicentre of sport and urban culture and has the support of the Madrid City Council and the Business Forum in an effort by the institutions to help position the city as a benchmark for world sport in the run-up to the World Capital of Sport in 2022.

The presence of Olympic athletes in this MUS has raised the level of the event and has given it international prestige. After finishing fifth at the Tokyo Olympics, Caro did not disappoint and was proclaimed Men's Skateboard champion with some very complete and high level rounds.

The Peruvian distilled flow to blow up the Street Plaza with a gap 360 flip lipslide in the best trick, the highest scoring trick of the competition with a 90. Much was expected of Angelo Caro and he didn’t disappoint. Pure spectacle in Madrid.

VIRGINIA CAVALCANTE

One of the most crowded finals of the Madrid Urban Sports was the BMX. The Madrid Río-Matadero Park was flooded with spectators to follow the grand final from Central Park. Olympian Nick Bruce was crowned champion after a perfect first round in which he left us speechless. The American delighted us with a huge backflip triple whip and a cork 720 executed to perfection. With a score of 91.67 points, Bruce was even able to relax and show off in his second round.

His always spectacular style has uncovered the admiration of the public in the Street Plaza of Madrid, and with 83.50 points he has climbed to the top of the podium. The Frenchman is in superb form after also winning the World Championships in Barcelona, and seems to have no rival who can overshadow him.

With a score of 82.33 points, the Barcelona native climbed to the top of the podium to take the gold medal in an all-Spanish competition that left a great sensation.

Leo Spencer took silver, confirming the dominance of British riders in this speciality. The podium was closed by the Swiss Anthony Grant, who was able to perform a totally different round than his opponents, making it clear that he is one of the most creative athletes in the sport.

The trick combinations were so complicated that it is hard to describe them.

Frenchman Mathias Villers was the big surprise of this final and against all odds he won the bronze medal. Consistency and creativity defined his performance in this great final.

With the permission of these two BMX giants, one of the great sensations of the competition was the Croatian Marin Rantes, who slipped onto the podium after lifting the audience out of their seats with fantasy tricks. The first on-site edition of Madrid Urban Sports has been held with a great success of spectators, more than 48,000 people, during the three days of the event. The facilities created for the occasion in the Madrid Río-Matadero park breathed a festive, sporting and cultural atmosphere with spectators of all ages.

Sport and urban culture are booming and the large number of attendees at the event has shown the interest of the people of Madrid in these trends. A potential that the Madrid City Council and Foro de Empresas already foresaw when they decided to hold Madrid Urban Sports in a space open to the city's public.

"We were clear that we wanted to bet on it and bring to all the people of Madrid these sports that are increasingly practiced in the streets of Madrid. The success of attendees shows that the City Council's bet has been more than right," said Sofia Miranda, Councillor for Sports, who has experienced first-hand the whole event.

Madrid has become Olympic during the weekend hosting the largest number of athletes and Olympic medalists in the same event. During the three days competitions of up to 6 different sports were held: skateboarding, BMX and 3x3 basketball, all of them Olympic disciplines, as well as roller freestyle, scooter and breaking, the latter, Olympic debutant in Paris 2024. "Having Olympic references in the different disciplines is one of the best examples to encourage young people in the capital to pursue their dreams. Perhaps the national participants of this first edition of Madrid Urban Sports could represent their country in future Olympic Games," said Councilwoman Miranda.

In total, more than 600 athletes from up to 25 different countries have gathered in the largest festival of sport and urban culture in the city.

The public flocked to the Madrid Río-Matadero Park to enjoy a spectacle of sport and urban culture never seen before in the city, which allowed the attendees not only to be spectators but also protagonists of the show.

Both the bleachers and the area around the five stages of the event have seen thousands of spectators who have been interested in the varied offer proposed by the Festival.

High level sport, with six competitions in action, live music through the imagin Flex Moments and the Young Blood battles, added to the urban art that took place in Manzanares Town, allowed the public to enter a world unknown to many.

In addition, Madrid Urban Sports has had a great impact, especially among young people, who have seen reflected in the event the positive values of sport and urban culture. Effort, persistence and a great desire to have fun in a healthy way make MUS an essential event.

Inline skate riders had a great time in Central Park during the roller freestyle competition at the urban sports and culture event of the moment.

The capital is the nerve center of urban sports this October weekend, supporting roller freestyle in an absolute way.

Raul Quiles takes the gold after landing a double back flip

It has been an amazing roller freestyle session, in which we have been able to witness impressive tricks, big jumps and the great level shown by all the Spaniards who have been part of this competition.

The great Raul Quiles, without any fear, started his round with a double backflip that left perplexed the large audience that accompanied and encouraged the competition. His score was 82.33.

Victor Medrano won the silver with a 78.67 and Abel Morales won the bronze with a 78.00.

The Ignacio Echevarría Bowl was flooded with skaters for good reasons. The best skaters of the Bowl discipline were present to compete to take "a little bit" of the more than 3000 € of prize money to be divided between the two genders.

A great Jaime Mateu takes the first prize in the Bowl competition

Olympian Jaime Mateu won the 1000€ prize thanks to tricks like a perfect frontside blunt, 540º, nollie bs 360, frontside river or a backside steelfish.

Jaime shared the podium with Frenchman Jean Pantaleon thanks to his almost two-meter fly performing a perfect steelfish, in fact the 750€ prize he won was thanks to being the man of the heights of the event.

In third place Miki Huercano won €350 thanks to a good blunt flip after several attempts to perform it.

Finally Stellio Sake won a well-deserved €100. He is the Nollie man.

The public invaded the Madrid Río-Matadero park on a brilliant second day of Madrid Urban Sports. The best international athletes in BMX, Roller Freestyle, Scooter and Skateboarding showed off impossible acrobatics in front of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. Urban sports fans but also families and spectators of all ages were able to enjoy a wide range of sports and urban culture throughout the day. 

The most acclaimed moment came late in the afternoon with the men's and women's street skateboarding finals. Olympian Angelo Caro made it clear why he achieved a great fifth place in Tokyo with an unparalleled display of tricks that brought him the gold medal of Madrid Urban Sports. Sofía Miranda, Madrid City Councillor for Sports, presented the medal to the champion.  After him in the classification, Richard Tury and Mauro Iglesias took silver and bronze, respectively. 

Spain's Valentina Planes slipped into third place on the podium in the women's final, bouncing back in the second round after a shocking fall that could have knocked her out of contention. The silver medal went to France's Charlotte Hym, while the gold medal went to Brazil's Virgina Cavalcante in a well-deserved victory. 

In the morning, Central Park was abuzz with excitement and passion, especially during the men's BMX semi-final where Olympic athlete Nick Bruce dominated, making him the favourite for gold in Sunday's final. Olympic medallist Daniel Dhers failed to make the top three but a fourth place finish secured him a place in the final.

First day of the Plaza 3x3 Caixabank with 47 teams and 185 participants

Another of the areas that attracted the largest number of participants was the Matadero area, where the four courts of the Plaza 3x3 Caixabank were located, offering competitions in this Olympic discipline from eleven o'clock in the morning. The biggest free 3x3 basketball tournament in Spain kicked off with a first day with the mini to junior categories and a total of 185 participants. On Sunday the spectacle continues with the senior category.

The graffiti exhibition also drew applause from the crowds in the area known as Manzanares Town, a space located on the banks of the river that brought together the best urban art artists in the capital. 

Thousands of visitors enjoyed Saturday at Madrid Urban Sports, demonstrating the interest and great potential generated by both sport and urban culture. Booming trends that are available to everyone thanks to the great commitment of the Madrid City Council and the Foro de Empresas. On Sunday the festival continues with the international BMX, Scooter and Roller Freestyle finals; the final of the Spanish Breaking circuit as well as more live music and urban art.

The men's Scooter Park semifinals have had a clear dominator: Jamie Hull. The Briton has scored heart-stopping tricks like a huge double back-flip or a double flair to lead the standings with 82.67 points.

Far behind Hull were the other contenders. Second also British Soly Bloomfield with 73.67 points, and third the Spanish Alex Perez Ortuño, who had just won the Junior final of Hotweels Super Chargers in the Extreme Barcelona and has scored a record of 72 points.

The highlight of this Saturday's Madrid Urban Sports was the Skateboarding finals, which did not disappoint at all. The Street Plaza in the Madrid Río-Matadero park was the setting for some finals to remember.

More than a thousand people witnessed up close the tricks with which these brilliant skateboarders, many of them Olympians after participating in the premiere of Skateboarding at the Tokyo Games, delighted us.

Angelo Caro rules the roost

Fifth at the Olympic Games, Angelo Caro shone again at the Madrid Urban Sports. The Peruvian has shown himself to be going from less to more with some very complete and high level rounds. Caro secured the gold with a bigger flip fs board and a gap 360 flip lipslide in the best trick. The latter was the highest scoring trick of the competition with a 90.

Silver went to Richard Tury, who, as always, proved that he is the king of the heelflip. The Slovakian was outstanding in the best-trick section, landing all three of his attempts, including a varial heelflip boardslide and a very complicated heelflip tailslide to fakie on the handrail of the Street Plaza.

The podium was completed by Mauro Iglesias, another of the great favourites, who was left with only the honey on his lips but who left us some great tricks to remember such as the gap flip backside lipslide on the downhill flat rail.

The only Spanish representative in the men's Skateboarding final was Rafa Bocanegra, who finished eighth with 40.89 points. The Cádiz native rubbed shoulders with the great giants with good rounds that got the home crowd off their seats. Unlucky in the best tricks, Bocanegra said goodbye to Madrid with a good feeling, being the Spanish representative among the top 8. 

The participation of the Slovak based in Barcelona, Chris Khan, who has made a very good performance and has been at the gates of the podium, finishing fourth with 61.22 points, was also remarkable.

The biggest name in the women's Skateboarding final was Virginia Cavalcante. The Brazilian gave a tremendous exhibition with high tricks such as a backside feeble on the handrail, a 360 flip or a backside boardslide. A pure and hard show that has earned her the gold medal.

Behind her finished the Olympian Charlotte Hym. Silver for the Frenchwoman, who was the favourite for the gold medal but had to settle for second place with 41 points and high quality tricks such as nollie heelflip and a frontside boardslide in one of the rails of the park.

Very tough, the Spaniard has returned to action delighting us with a great mastery of the quarter pipes of the park and tricks like the frontside smithgrind, the backside 5O or the frontside tailslide, which have earned her a place on the podium.

Marin Rantes, Jose Torres and Nick Bruce are the best scores of these semi-finals. 

Nick Bruce started his round with a huge backflip double whip that touched the clouds. In addition to a 360º on the Spine, the American sealed his moment with a Double Downside Whip after an incredible Barrel on the Spine.

In second position, the great José Torres AKA Maligno did a 720º that left everyone in the audience and non-audience speechless. He also pulled the first barrel whip of the event out of his sleeve.

The third position went to Marin Rantes and from his tricks we highlight the impressive 360º of the Spine to the Vulcano or his Truckrider with Tailwhip.

This time Daniel Dhers was not among the top three, but he finished in fourth position, enough to get into the final. His start was epic, and never better said as the dj played us the great Canservero's "Es Epico", which together with the noise of encouragement produced by the Venezuelan community has made this one of the best moments of the weekend so far.

The freestyle in all its essence came to the event of culture and urban sport, the Madrid Urban Sports.

Sixteen brave ones presented themselves after a hard-fought online preliminary phase centralized on the Urban Roosters website, where all participants uploaded a test video and out of 32, only 16 were to be chosen for the eighth face-to-face round at the event.

Urban Roosters provided a team of judges of the highest level composed of ELEKIPO, RETU, MARC and BABI.

A first test without elimination

We highlight the duel of Étiko against Masto. In this confrontation there was no mercy from Etiko, we all knew who was going to be the winner before starting the second round.

Despite not being able to beat the finalists ZAIKO and BIBI, EFE-R and CDFLEX showed that they were a step above the rest of the participants from a lyrical and lucid point of view. 

The city of Almeria can be proud. This great cradle of freestyle has brought two great MC's who have managed to make a great role and also will remain for the memory of the event.

In the semifinal we had fr and cdflex two mcs from Almeria. And a very close semifinal of which only two could pass.

The final had an indisputable winner. ZAIKO destroyed BIBI in the three rounds. There was no Réplica. Zaragoza slept proud.

'SKATE MEN' - Angelo Caro The Peruvian athlete was crowned king of the Madrid Urban Sports streetpark after signing an excellent round with a scandalous trick: a gap 360 flip lipside that got the highest score in the competition. Caro will try that this year in the MUS that nobody takes away his SkatePark throne. 'SKATE WOMEN' - Virginia Cavalcante The Brazilian Virginia Cavalcante won gold in the first edition of the MUS after signing some tricks with a lot of quality and style such as a backside feeble in the handrail and a 360 flip that left the judges and her rivals amazed. 'Scooter Park'- Jamie Hull  Jamie Hull was crowned king of the Scooter Park when he surprised the judges and the audience with a double backflip double whip planked, a trick executed to perfection and with great ease. Hull will try to revalidate his title of king of the MUS Park against international opponents like Anthony Grant, who aspires to snatch the gold medal in this edition.  'Scooter Street' - Lucas Di Meglio The Frenchman conquered Madrid in the 'Scooter Street' category, leaving the entire StreetPlaza audience astonished. This year he will be looking to defend his position against world-class international rivals who will not make it easy for the Frenchman to win the gold again.   Madrid Urban Sports 2022 is going to be held between 10-12 June, and will witness the first Olympic qualifications for París 2024 in Breaking and BMX disciplines.  In the MUS we will vibrate again with MBX as in Tokyo, a weekend to celebrate the international championship of C1, scoring for Paris 2024 in Men and Women modalities.  A few days full of competitions where the women’s BMX Olympic medalists:  Charlotte Worthington (Gold in Tokyo), Hannah Roberts (Silver in Tokyo) and Nikita Ducaroz (Bronze in Tokyo) will compete to be the best rider in the MUS and conquer the Central Park of Madrid Rio-Matadero.  In men’s category, Venezuelan Daniel Dhers (Silver medalist), and British Declan Brook (Bronze medalist) will also compete for their firsts Olympic points.  Moreover, the national talent in this Olympic modality will be noted in the championship of Spain, in men and women categories. Madrid Urban Sports is preparing for its second edition after a spectacular staging in its first year. More than 48,000 people enjoyed the best international urban sports competitions, packed with Olympic athletes and accompanied by great icons of each of the sporting disciplines.

The citizens of Madrid have an appointment with great athletes such as Daniel Dhers, silver medalist in Tokyo 2021 and fourth in the last edition, or Angelo Caro, skateboarding champion in 2021 here in Madrid and Olympic finalist in skateboarding. The great Peruvian talent will return to Madrid Rio-Matadero to defend his gold medal. Other great athletes such as Virginia Fortes, Nick Bruce, Lucas Di Meglio or Jamie Hull will be the big names to follow in this second edition of Madrid Urban Sports.

ANGELO CARO

The presence of Olympic athletes in this MUS has raised the level of the event and has given it international prestige. One of the big names we had marked in red in our minds was the Peruvian skateboarder Angelo Caro. After finishing fifth at the Tokyo Olympics, Caro did not disappoint and was proclaimed Men's Skateboard champion with some very complete and high level rounds.

The Peruvian distilled flow to blow up the Street Plaza with a gap 360 flip lipslide in the best trick, the highest scoring trick of the competition with a 90. Much was expected of Angelo Caro and he didn’t disappoint. Pure spectacle in Madrid.

VIRGINIA CAVALCANTE

South America has tinged the Madrid Urban Sports with Latin rhythm, and for rhythm the Brazilian Virginia Cavalcante, who won the gold medal in women's skateboarding thanks to an excellent final. The skateboarder from Rio de Janeiro showed off with tricks such as a backside feeble on the handrail, a 360 flip or a backside boardslide.

A lot of talent and self-confidence that have helped her to get on the top of the podium in Madrid ahead of an Olympian like the French Charlotte Hym, who started as a big favourite.

NICK BRUCE

One of the most crowded finals of the Madrid Urban Sports was the BMX. The Madrid Río-Matadero Park was flooded with spectators to follow the grand final from Central Park. Olympian Nick Bruce was crowned champion after a perfect first round in which he left us speechless. The American delighted us with a huge backflip triple whip and a cork 720 executed to perfection. With a score of 91.67 points, Bruce was even able to relax and show off in his second round.

With a new exhibition, Lucas DiMeglio dominated the Scooter Street competition with an iron fist and won the gold medal without giving his rivals a chance. The Frenchman, reigning world champion, only needed one round to secure his victory. His always spectacular style has uncovered the admiration of the public in the Street Plaza of Madrid, and with 83.50 points he has climbed to the top of the podium. The Frenchman is in superb form after also winning the World Championships in Barcelona, and seems to have no rival who can overshadow him.

With a blatant authority, Jamie Hull is the other great winner of the Scooter in the MUS, in this case in the Park category. The ease with which he landed his spectacular tricks has left the public, judges and rivals speechless. It will take a long time to forget the double backflip double whip he landed with such ease. In fact, Hull has been the only rider able to iron two double backflips in his rounds.

The Roller Freestyle competition has been another of the pleasant surprises of this Madrid Urban Sports. The champion was Raúl Quiles, who left us absolutely perplexed with a double backflip to start his round and show us the spectacular nature of this discipline. With a score of 82.33 points, the Barcelona native climbed to the top of the podium to take the gold medal in an all-Spanish competition that left a great sensation.

A score of 57.33 points brought Muñoz to glory in Madrid, making her one of the best skaters in Roller Freestyle today.

The Scooter Park final was a real exhibition of the best riders in the world who gathered in the Central Park of Madrid Río-Matadero. The Madrid public enjoyed for the first time a Scooter competition of the highest international level in their city.

Jamie Hull sweeps the board

From the semi-finals to the final, Jamie Hull was unrivalled. The Briton put in two absolutely perfect rounds. All the tricks were cleanly landed and he was the only rider to land two doubles in his rounds.

Spectators will never forget the double backflip double whip that Hull landed with crushing ease.

Leo Spencer took silver, confirming the dominance of British riders in this speciality. The podium was closed by the Swiss Anthony Grant, who was able to perform a totally different round than his opponents, making it clear that he is one of the most creative athletes in the sport.

His 540 flair has its own stamp and to round off his performance he delighted us with a quintuple backflip whip.

The reigning world champion of this speciality has given no option to any of his rivals. The Frenchman has shown once again that he is a step above the rest of the athletes. He only needed the first round to secure the gold in the final that closed the Madrid Urban Sports 2021.

The rider from Navas, Guifré Obradors, won the silver medal with an absolutely stellar performance. His rounds have driven the crowd of a packed Street Plaza crazy. With the great support of the home crowd, Obradors has ironed some great tricks like the gap heelwhip to lipslide on the flat rail down. The trick combinations were so complicated that it is hard to describe them.

Frenchman Mathias Villers was the big surprise of this final and against all odds he won the bronze medal. Consistency and creativity defined his performance in this great final.

Gold for Nick Bruce

The American is a life insurance. He does not make mistakes. With a great first round Nick Bruce has been enough to proclaim champion and hang the gold medal in Madrid. Bruce has achieved a record of 91.67 points and has delighted us with a huge backflip triple whip and a cork 720 executed to perfection. The American dominated the competition so much that he was even able to relax on his second attempt after seeing himself as the winner.

Close behind him was Jose "Maligno" Torres with 90 points. The Argentinean had to settle for the silver medal as he did in the Extreme Barcelona, and it will not be for not having left us with our mouths open. Flying as always very high, "Maligno" has left tricks like a huge 360 transfer between two modules that were more than 6 meters apart.

With the permission of these two BMX giants, one of the great sensations of the competition was the Croatian Marin Rantes, who slipped onto the podium after lifting the audience out of their seats with fantasy tricks. A lot of magic and a lot of talent. The combinations of barspins and tailwhips were endless.

After a very demanding few months, Dhers did not feel too comfortable on the track during the whole weekend, and it was evident in the final. Despite his fourth position, the Venezuelan left us tricks of the caliber of the cashroll barrels or the backflip no hands. It is always a luxury to have Daniel Dhers with us. Pure spectacle.

Madrid has become the epicenter of international sport and culture throughout the weekend. The first on-site edition of Madrid Urban Sports has been held with a great success of spectators, more than 48,000 people, during the three days of the event. The facilities created for the occasion in the Madrid Río-Matadero park breathed a festive, sporting and cultural atmosphere with spectators of all ages.

Sport and urban culture are booming and the large number of attendees at the event has shown the interest of the people of Madrid in these trends. A potential that the Madrid City Council and Foro de Empresas already foresaw when they decided to hold Madrid Urban Sports in a space open to the city's public.

"We were clear that we wanted to bet on it and bring to all the people of Madrid these sports that are increasingly practiced in the streets of Madrid. The success of attendees shows that the City Council's bet has been more than right," said Sofia Miranda, Councillor for Sports, who has experienced first-hand the whole event.

Madrid has become Olympic during the weekend hosting the largest number of athletes and Olympic medalists in the same event. During the three days competitions of up to 6 different sports were held: skateboarding, BMX and 3x3 basketball, all of them Olympic disciplines, as well as roller freestyle, scooter and breaking, the latter, Olympic debutant in Paris 2024. "Having Olympic references in the different disciplines is one of the best examples to encourage young people in the capital to pursue their dreams. Perhaps the national participants of this first edition of Madrid Urban Sports could represent their country in future Olympic Games," said Councilwoman Miranda.

In total, more than 600 athletes from up to 25 different countries have gathered in the largest festival of sport and urban culture in the city.

The presence of Olympic athletes has given prestige to Madrid Urban Sports and has raised the level of the competitions. In men's skateboarding, Peruvian Angelo Caro won the gold medal, showing the talent that took him to fifth place in the Tokyo Olympics. Caro performed the highest scoring trick of the competition in the best-tricks of the final.

Another highlight of the MUS was the BMX final, which drew thousands of people in front of Central Park. The American Nick Bruce was proclaimed champion with a very solid first attempt that earned him the gold medal. The Argentinian "Maligno" Torres won the silver and the Croatian Marin Rantes the bronze. On the other hand, Olympic medalist Daniel Dhers was just short of the podium, finishing fourth.

Madrid Urban Sports also hosted the Roller Freestyle competition. In the men's category, the champion was Raúl Quiles from Barcelona, who won gold, followed by Víctor Medrano and Abel Morales. Raul Quiles takes the gold after landing a double back flip

It has been an amazing roller freestyle session, in which we have been able to witness impressive tricks, big jumps and the great level shown by all the Spaniards who have been part of this competition.

The great Raul Quiles, without any fear, started his round with a double backflip that left perplexed the large audience that accompanied and encouraged the competition. His score was 82.33.

Victor Medrano won the silver with a 78.67 and Abel Morales won the bronze with a 78.00.

A great Jaime Mateu takes the first prize in the Bowl competition

Olympian Jaime Mateu won the 1000€ prize thanks to tricks like a perfect frontside blunt, 540º, nollie bs 360, frontside river or a backside steelfish.

Jaime shared the podium with Frenchman Jean Pantaleon thanks to his almost two-meter fly performing a perfect steelfish, in fact the 750€ prize he won was thanks to being the man of the heights of the event.

In third place Miki Huercano won €350 thanks to a good blunt flip after several attempts to perform it.

The public invaded the Madrid Río-Matadero park on a brilliant second day of Madrid Urban Sports. The best international athletes in BMX, Roller Freestyle, Scooter and Skateboarding showed off impossible acrobatics in front of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. Urban sports fans but also families and spectators of all ages were able to enjoy a wide range of sports and urban culture throughout the day. 

The most acclaimed moment came late in the afternoon with the men's and women's street skateboarding finals. Olympian Angelo Caro made it clear why he achieved a great fifth place in Tokyo with an unparalleled display of tricks that brought him the gold medal of Madrid Urban Sports. Sofía Miranda, Madrid City Councillor for Sports, presented the medal to the champion.  After him in the classification, Richard Tury and Mauro Iglesias took silver and bronze, respectively. 

Spain's Valentina Planes slipped into third place on the podium in the women's final, bouncing back in the second round after a shocking fall that could have knocked her out of contention. The silver medal went to France's Charlotte Hym, while the gold medal went to Brazil's Virgina Cavalcante in a well-deserved victory. 

In the morning, Central Park was abuzz with excitement and passion, especially during the men's BMX semi-final where Olympic athlete Nick Bruce dominated, making him the favourite for gold in Sunday's final. Olympic medallist Daniel Dhers failed to make the top three but a fourth place finish secured him a place in the final.

First day of the Plaza 3x3 Caixabank with 47 teams and 185 participants

Another of the areas that attracted the largest number of participants was the Matadero area, where the four courts of the Plaza 3x3 Caixabank were located, offering competitions in this Olympic discipline from eleven o'clock in the morning. The biggest free 3x3 basketball tournament in Spain kicked off with a first day with the mini to junior categories and a total of 185 participants. On Sunday the spectacle continues with the senior category.

The highlight of this Saturday's Madrid Urban Sports was the Skateboarding finals, which did not disappoint at all. The Street Plaza in the Madrid Río-Matadero park was the setting for some finals to remember.

More than a thousand people witnessed up close the tricks with which these brilliant skateboarders, many of them Olympians after participating in the premiere of Skateboarding at the Tokyo Games, delighted us.

Angelo Caro rules the roost

Fifth at the Olympic Games, Angelo Caro shone again at the Madrid Urban Sports. The Peruvian has shown himself to be going from less to more with some very complete and high level rounds. Caro secured the gold with a bigger flip fs board and a gap 360 flip lipslide in the best trick. The latter was the highest scoring trick of the competition with a 90.

Silver went to Richard Tury, who, as always, proved that he is the king of the heelflip. The Slovakian was outstanding in the best-trick section, landing all three of his attempts, including a varial heelflip boardslide and a very complicated heelflip tailslide to fakie on the handrail of the Street Plaza.

The podium was completed by Mauro Iglesias, another of the great favourites, who was left with only the honey on his lips but who left us some great tricks to remember such as the gap flip backside lipslide on the downhill flat rail.

The only Spanish representative in the men's Skateboarding final was Rafa Bocanegra, who finished eighth with 40.89 points. The Cádiz native rubbed shoulders with the great giants with good rounds that got the home crowd off their seats. Unlucky in the best tricks, Bocanegra said goodbye to Madrid with a good feeling, being the Spanish representative among the top 8. 

The participation of the Slovak based in Barcelona, Chris Khan, who has made a very good performance and has been at the gates of the podium, finishing fourth with 61.22 points, was also remarkable.

Behind her finished the Olympian Charlotte Hym. Silver for the Frenchwoman, who was the favourite for the gold medal but had to settle for second place with 41 points and high quality tricks such as nollie heelflip and a frontside boardslide in one of the rails of the park.

Very tough, the Spaniard has returned to action delighting us with a great mastery of the quarter pipes of the park and tricks like the frontside smithgrind, the backside 5O or the frontside tailslide, which have earned her a place on the podium.

It was a very vibrant day with the city of Madrid overturned with the event and enjoying a magnificent free show and enormously appealing to audiences of all ages. A day to remember at Madrid Urban Sports.

The Central Park breathed clamour and passion for BMX this morning in the Madrid Rio park, in the event of culture and urban sport par excellence, the Madrid Urban Sports.

One thing was clear this weekend, BMX is a worldwide sensation after the last Tokyo Olympics and the public knows it. The crowd was enthusiastic, shouting and chanting like a Champions League final in one of the most important football fields in Europe.

After a few practices in which we have witnessed technical flashes of what awaited us in these semifinals of real madness.

A great Pol Diaz in the first heat of the final

The semi-finals are carried out through the competition format developed by UCI and consists of two rounds for each rider of one minute each.

In the first heat we highlight the young Catalan rider from Igualada, Pol Diaz. Despite not making it to the final he had flashes of what is to come, a future Spanish talent. A good Superman flying over the fun box or his Oposite Table One Foot were some of the tricks that we highlighted from his heat.

The rest of the Spaniards like Arkaitz Armendariz or Jaime Francisco suffered falls that prevented them from getting better results during the competition.

Marin Rantes, Jose Torres and Nick Bruce are the best scores of these semi-finals. 

Nick Bruce started his round with a huge backflip double whip that touched the clouds. In addition to a 360º on the Spine, the American sealed his moment with a Double Downside Whip after an incredible Barrel on the Spine.

In second position, the great José Torres AKA Maligno did a 720º that left everyone in the audience and non-audience speechless. He also pulled the first barrel whip of the event out of his sleeve.

The third position went to Marin Rantes and from his tricks we highlight the impressive 360º of the Spine to the Vulcano or his Truckrider with Tailwhip.

This time Daniel Dhers was not among the top three, but he finished in fourth position, enough to get into the final. His start was epic, and never better said as the dj played us the great Canservero's "Es Epico", which together with the noise of encouragement produced by the Venezuelan community has made this one of the best moments of the weekend so far.

The freestyle in all its essence came to the event of culture and urban sport, the Madrid Urban Sports.

Sixteen brave ones presented themselves after a hard-fought online preliminary phase centralized on the Urban Roosters website, where all participants uploaded a test video and out of 32, only 16 were to be chosen for the eighth face-to-face round at the event.

Urban Roosters provided a team of judges of the highest level composed of ELEKIPO, RETU, MARC and BABI.

We highlight the duel of Étiko against Masto. In this confrontation there was no mercy from Etiko, we all knew who was going to be the winner before starting the second round.

Despite not being able to beat the finalists ZAIKO and BIBI, EFE-R and CDFLEX showed that they were a step above the rest of the participants from a lyrical and lucid point of view. 

The city of Almeria can be proud. This great cradle of freestyle has brought two great MC's who have managed to make a great role and also will remain for the memory of the event.

In the semifinal we had fr and cdflex two mcs from Almeria. And a very close semifinal of which only two could pass.

The grand final Zaiko against Bibi

The final had an indisputable winner. ZAIKO destroyed BIBI in the three rounds. There was no Réplica. Zaragoza slept proud.
