• Madrid Urban Sports 2022 will be a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in these two disciplines

• Breaking makes its debut in Paris as an Olympic discipline and the MUS will be its first trial by fire 

Madrid Urban Sports 2022 is going to be held between 10-12 June, and will witness the first Olympic qualifications for París 2024 in Breaking and BMX disciplines. 

In the MUS we will vibrate again with MBX as in Tokyo, a weekend to celebrate the international championship of C1, scoring for Paris 2024 in Men and Women modalities. 

A few days full of competitions where the women’s BMX Olympic medalists:  Charlotte Worthington (Gold in Tokyo), Hannah Roberts (Silver in Tokyo) and Nikita Ducaroz (Bronze in Tokyo) will compete to be the best rider in the MUS and conquer the Central Park of Madrid Rio-Matadero. 

In men’s category, Venezuelan Daniel Dhers (Silver medalist), and British Declan Brook (Bronze medalist) will also compete for their firsts Olympic points. 

Moreover, the national talent in this Olympic modality will be noted in the championship of Spain, in men and women categories. A special occasion for the Spanish riders who will share the track with international and Olympic athletes. Teresa Fernandez and Daniel ‘Narran’ Peñafiel will defend the title won in this same scenario during the 2021 edition of Madrid Urban Sports.

The other discipline in which athletes will dispute their first points for the Olympics is Breaking, a discipline that will make its debut as an Olympic in Paris 2024. 

The ‘Breaking for Gold Challenge Series’ will host the best international and national dancers in absolute male (BBoy) and female (BGirl) categories to start scoring points for the Olympic Games. The Urban Stage in Madrid is getting ready to recieve one of the most exciting Break competitions in the world. 

Juan de la Torre ‘Xak’, in the men’s category and Laura ‘Law’ García, in the women’s category, will try to revalidate their title and start their race towards Paris. 

They will compete against rivals with worldwide track records such as Gracy Stenio and Ana ‘Furia’ Ortega, two athletes who have already confirmed their attendance at MUS2022 to hit the Urban Stage and reach the Olympic Games. 

In addition, the break modality will be held the ‘Febd Gold Series’, the Spanish Breaking Championship with categories: Kids, Junior, SUB21 and Absolute. A way to bring this new Olympic modality to the audience and visitors of the MUS.

A weekend where urban sports will take the streets of Madrid and can begin to move towards Paris.
