Urban culture makes its way into the MUS
05/10/2021
  • Manzanares Town, Flex Moments and Young Blood will bring us the best of current urban culture.
  • Freestyle battles, musical showcases and mind-blowing graffiti will delight spectators

Madrid Urban Sports is a Festival that includes a wide variety of shows. In addition to the powerful sporting competitions, the MUS also has room for culture. Music and urban art will envelop the Madrid Río-Matadero Park in an atmosphere full of sensations during the days of Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October.

Manzanares Town

The MUS will offer a showcase for urban art with the conversion of the space located on the banks of the Manzanares into an avenue where artists with a 100% local stamp will be able to share their passion: spray paint.

In this way, Manzanares Town, is a call to all those graffiti artists of different styles and personalities who want to express their creativity and show their best designs in a liveshow with recyclable supports.

Schedule: This space will be active both Saturday and Sunday from 11am and throughout the day

imaginMusic Flex Moments

Music will also take centre stage beyond the music stage and will enter Central Park and Street Plaza during the breaks between sports competitions in the Flex Moments, a 15-minute showcase led by local urban music artists.

Music and sport will come together on the same stage under the voices of Pedro LaDroga, Lix Molina, Flaccosucio, Gloosito, Free Sis Mafia, NFX, Daniela Garsal and other great guest artists.

Schedule: on Saturday we will have the performances of Chevy Style (16:55-17:10h), Lix Molina (19:00-19:15h), Free Sis Mafia (20:00-20:15h); on Sunday it will be the turn of NFX (15:50-16:05), Flaccosucio (16:55-17:10h), Daniela Garsal (18:20-18-35h), Gloosito (19:25-19:40h) and Pedro Ladroga (19:45-20:00h).

Young Blood by Urban Roosters

Madrid Urban Sports will also have space for the Young Blood show, which was born as a new freestyle battle for the city’s local talent by Urban Roosters.

From a previous online selection on the Urban Roosters website, 16 competitors will challenge each other on stage in the finals of the battles, in a format lasting 80 minutes in total. The finalists will face renowned figures in the grand final, such as Elekipo or Babi, two great references of improvisation.

Schedule: Young Blood will take place on Friday from 17-22h at the Street Plaza.

The cultural offer of Madrid Urban Sports will leave no one indifferent. A wide variety of ?shows? and styles will delight our senses from 8th to 10th October in Madrid Río-Matadero Park.
