Madrid Urban Sports is a national and international reference for urban culture. It will be held in Madrid from 10 to 12 June at the Madrid Río-Matadero facilities. Visitors will be able to enjoy competitions in the five disciplines: BMX, Skate, Scooter, Street and Breaking, with the participation of many Olympic athletes.
Urban sports always go hand in hand with music and urban art, so these will be two of the main activities apart from the competitions that everyone will be able to enjoy in Madrid Río-Matadero. The sprays come together into Manzanares Town, a space where 20 artists will colour white murals located in the Matadero area. A creative space with the collaboration of Wallspot, StreetArtInAction, Puppets and the support of Montana to show the most ‘underground’ form of artistic expression in Madrid.
Urban culture cannot be understood without its music. The second edition of YoungBlood kicks off with Urban Roosters, where young freestylers from Madrid will gather on the Urban Stage to showcase their fluency and improvisation.
We will also be able to count on renowned urban artists in the ‘Flex Moments’, well-known faces from the Spanish urban scene who will be in charge of setting the mood for the visitors before the finals and closing the days of the event.
Madrid Urban Sports will also offer a market and food trucks area for visitors. In the market, you will be able to find the official UWS and MUS shops, therabody, lawak, underdist, mad ramps, Krom Kedama and our sponsors: Nerf and Seat MÓ. For all those visitors who need to refuel for the afternoon competitions, there will be a food truck area, with options for all tastes and varieties.
