The Brit is on another level and won the gold after scoring maximum points against the other 7 competitors during her three rounds of the final with tricks like her kickflip indy grab, backside tailslide and a Frontside 540 that made the temperature rise even more in the desert of Sharjah.   The silver medal went to Japan's Kokona Hirak, only 14 years old, without a doubt an athlete with a spectacular present and future. She won over the jury with her fluid rounds full of transfers, slides and grinds like a very solid frontside overcrook in the big bowl curve and airs like a frontside 360 stalefish and a frontside stalefish to lip book.   Finally, the bronze medal also went to Japan, Yosozumi Sakura, 20, flowed through the bowl in a very polished style with tricks like a backside kickflip indy, Frontside Smithgrind on the big turn and a Backside 360 no grab. Jagger adds gold medal to the bronze medal he won at Tokyo 2020 [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="4693,4695"] In the men's category, the gold medal was won by the American Jagger Eaton, who has been the only athlete to compete in both Street, finishing sixth, and Park. Jagger scored tricks of many carats as a giant Ollie to fakie house brand, Kickflip to backside lipslide and Backside 540 indy huge, among others, which made him rise as world champion.   The silver went to Augusto Akio, the Brazilian who is skating like the gods, flew over the skies of Sharjah with a perfect McTwist, a Backside Smithgrind 270 out in the curve, a trick within reach of few skaters on the planet, and a great frontside heelflip indy.    The bronze also went to Brazil, the silver medalist of Tokyo 2020, Pedro Barros. The athlete turned the bowl upside down from start to finish, with his power and characteristic style and tricks that bear his signature: the highest and longest Backside indy we have seen all week, Backside 540 and McTwist Indy that looked more like something out of a video game than real life.   One of the surprises of the final was Australia's Keegan Palmer, Tokyo 2020 gold medalist and Park designer of these World Finals, who came in last in 8th place after failing in all three of his rounds.   Naia Laso was the Spanish athlete to go farthest in PARK.   As for the Spanish athletes, Naia Laso went through to the semifinals and got a magnificent 13th place, staying only 5 places away from the final when she missed the Backside 540 of her round.   Meanwhile, Danny Leon, Julia Benedetti and Alain Kortabitarte could not get past the quarterfinals; and Peio Gonzalez, who is recovering from an elbow injury he suffered last month in the concentration with his tem ESP, could only compete walking to add some points, he stayed in the qualifiers. Giraud dominates in the final of the world championships with a clear goal: Paris 2024

Rayssa Leal is crowned in Sharjah proving that his riding is at another level.

Last Sunday February 5th took place the final of the Olympic Qualifier and Skateboarding World Championship 2022 Street category, in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, which has also distributed some valuable points to travel to Paris 2024, where there are only 22 vacancies for the best riders on the skateboard.    Sarhah, has been the obligatory stop of the world skateboarding to walk to Paris, a magnificent competition that has left a good skate handling under a sun of justice.   Aurelien Giraud climbs to the top of the podium with an epic performance.   Aurelien Giraud In the men's category, the gold medal was won by Frenchman Aurelien Giraud, who, with two competitors left to compete, secured first place with a total of 269.33 points. Giraud was off the podium, but it was then when on his fourth best trick attempt he scored a textbook Backside 360 kickflip  with a 91.48 score that crowned him as world winner. He was followed by Portugal's Gustavo Ribeiro with 267.38 points, who landed some bangers like the 360 flip noseblunt nollie bigspin on the Aljada skatepark main handrail. Also on the podium with a third place finish was 12-year-old Japanese rising star Ginwoo Onodera with 263.04 points. Ginwoo got the best score in the semifinals with a crazy level, making it clear that he just needs to gain a little more experience to become the perfect skater. If he keeps it up this kid will be unbeatable. [gallery size="large" columns="2" ids="4664,4666"]   Rayssa makes an exhibition by winning again a world championship with a wrist injury.   In the women's contest, Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Rayssa Leal was crowned champion even after suffering a right wrist injury earlier in the week while practicing, forcing her to compete with a wristguard. The Brazilian is on another level, and earned the gold after taking Best Trick with her kickflip front side boardslide (85.04) and her main trick, a kickflip backside lipslide (87.22) that earned her a total of 255.58 points. Second place was for the 12-year-old Australian Chloe Covell with 253.51 points, the future of women's skateboarding who introduced a very powerful round, switch flips and frond side flips in the triple tier. Finally the podium was completed with the third position the youngest Olympic champion of Tokyo, Momiji Nishiya 13 years old with 253.30 points and a very solid runs and best tricks.   [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="4670,4668"]     Terol leads the spanish army and reach the semifinals.   About the spanish team performance this weekend.  Daniela Terol was the best spaniard, who  finished the World Cup in a worthy 11th position reaching the semifinals, Natalia Muñoz was 28th reaching the quarterfinals. The Spanish Women's BMX Championship was the first to be contested, with Teresa Fernández revalidating her Spanish Championship title and taking the jersey under the watchful eye of her opponents in the BMX Women C1 category. The Junior BMX riders demonstrated the great projection of the discipline, under the watchful eye of Daniel Dhers and the president of the Spanish Federation, Alejandro Martín. Javitxu de la Torre took gold, Pau Sala and Marc Díaz completed the podium. The CNS and the Spanish Skating Federation presented at the Madrid Urban Sports the National Under 16 SkatePark and Street Circuit at the first stop of the circuit, in collaboration with the brand Hot Wheels Superchargers Fueled by Urban World Series. Afrika Criado won the gold medal in the U16 championship and, hours later, added the MUS silver medal to her neck. Guillermo Sánchez, was crowned champion of Spain, after a spectacular round, all his teammates shook him, recognizing all his effort. On Sunday, the Breaking returned to assault the Urban Stage, this time, with the FEBD Gold Series, one of the most complete days with the Spanish championships in 5 categories: Kids, Junior, U21, BBoy and BGirl. The Frenchman did a perfect first round, where he was delighted with all the elements of the module, sliding and showing the quality of his tricks. Jordan Clark, reigning world champion, could not take the gold medal because he did not iron some tricks. It was not the Briton's afternoon, even though he tried to replicate the triple flair he achieved not long ago, being the first person in the world to do so.  Alex Pérez Ortuño won the bronze medal after two rounds performed to perfection, the Spaniard took the medal to the amazement of his opponents thanks to his incredible technique and tricks.  [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="4357,4355"]  The scooter moved to the Street to offer even more spectacle with the Scooter Park final. The Briton said after the event that "I knew I had to pull out my best tricks to be on the podium because the level at the MUS has been so high. In BMX the level was very high and many of the athletes showed some of the aces they had up their sleeves in order to be among the 12 chosen to compete today in the final. Jose Torres also known as Maligno was the great dominator of the day. With rounds with a lot of power, and a spectacular repertoire of tricks, the Argentinean flew one metre higher than all his rivals on every obstacle in Central Park, giving him a final score of 94.67. Croatia's Marin Rantes and Olympic bronze medallist Declan Brooks qualified second and third respectively and confirmed that they are two strong contenders to unseat Torres for gold in today's grand final. Mr. Daniel Dhers, the crowd favourite, took fourth place and is still in the running for a place on the podium at Madrid Urban Sports 2022. [gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="4276,4284"] World Champion dominates the constest: British rider Jordan Clark was the great dominator of the scooter park semifinals and moved like a fish in water in each of the ramps of the monumental construction. Flow and power defined each of his two 45-second rounds in Central Park, which combined with tricks such as the cashroll in the funbox or the double flair, propelled him to first place in the standings with a score of 81.00. His teammate Jaime Hull, who comes to defend the gold medal he won in 2021, followed him closely showing that he will not make it easy for Clark to win. Combinations of whip and rewinds added with some bombs like the double flair gave the Briton 75.87 points. The third place in the semifinals went to Esteban Clott. Spain's Juan de la Torre, better known as Xak, is one of the best known BBoys in Spain and on Saturday at Madrid-Rio he proved why: he won the gold medal at the MUS, revalidating his title from last year. Xak has done a spectacular session and afterwards, with his medal on his chest, he declared that "the level has been very high this edition of Madrid Urban Sports, you can tell that the event is getting a name because there were many international participants so the battles have all been very hard because I compete against people much younger than me although at 35 years old I feel in great shape". This former lawyer who left everything for breaking has been categorical about the inclusion of his sport in the Olympic Games stating that "it has been a revolution in our world, I used to train where I could and now we are with the federation in the CAR with physios, coaches, something that was unthinkable before". [gallery columns="4" size="large" ids="4254,4260,4252,4258"] The silver medal was won by the Belgian Max, who was unstoppable and with a very marked style, the bronze medal was won by Mini Joe, one of the favourites for the Paris Games, who gave off fire in his movements. For her part, the Belgian Madmax won in the BGirl category against her compatriot Camine and still with bated breath declared that it had been "a crazy day, on the one hand because of the heat, and on the other hand the atmosphere was the best and allowed me to express what I wanted and the organization has done everything to make it a success and we could dance to the maximum, so I take a great memory of Madrid". The Urban Stage does not rest and tomorrow the Spanish Breaking Championship will be held where we will be able to see the two times MUS champion, Xak and the BGirls of the moment: Ana 'Furia' Ortega and Law.

Everything was ready in the skateplaza of the Madrid Urban Sports and a dedicated audience carried the skaters in a dream final. Colombian Olympic rider JhanCarlos Gonzalez took the title from one of his greatest opponents, Angelo Caro, in a vibrant final where the two skaters showed the best tricks of the evening. Angelo Caro was unable to retain his title as MUS champion despite pulling off one of the biggest tricks ever seen at Skate Plaza. Caro stunned the judges and drove the crowd wild with a 360 flip lipslide bigspin out on the downhill flat rail. Despite the Peruvian's great trick, he couldn't beat Jhan Carlo's two good rounds, landing all the tricks and moving fluidly around the Street Plaza. In the Skate Women final the three medals have stayed in Spain. Daniela Terol took the gold with some very fluid rounds and perfectly ironed tricks. Charlotte Worthington took the gold with two very complete rounds, her teammates on the podium Lizurley and Nikita did two good rounds but the talent of the young British woman dazzled Madrid Río Matadero.  Charlotte won gold and the affection of all the visitors who attended the final, and despite the heat, the Brit gave the crowd two perfect waves of incredible tricks. Whortington started strong, with a 720 on the Funbox right out of the gate, to mark territory and alert her rivals that she was going for the gold medal. She said afterwards, "I was really happy with the win after a rocky start to the season, I liked the modules and I went for it and got a 720 to start and that gave me a boost". [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="4240,4242"] Lizsurley Villegas, the reigning champion of Madrid Urban Sports, competed for her throne until the end, although she took a lot of risks with her tricks: cancans, flips and 360, but her reign in Central Park slipped away. Nikita Ducarroz, who started first in the semi-finals, took third place with a very solid performance in her two rounds, with very sharp tricks and sliding all over the park.  The three medallists take one more step towards Paris 2024 by obtaining the first qualifying points for the Olympic Games and, also, the first medals of the MUS in this epic weekend of culture and urban sport in Madrid.   " ["post_title"]=> string(61) "The olympic winner becames the queen of MUS at BMX discipline" ["post_excerpt"]=> string(0) "" ["post_status"]=> string(7) "publish" ["comment_status"]=> string(4) "open" ["ping_status"]=> string(4) "open" ["post_password"]=> string(0) "" ["post_name"]=> string(61) "the-olympic-winner-becames-the-queen-of-mus-at-bmx-discipline" ["to_ping"]=> string(0) "" ["pinged"]=> string(0) "" ["post_modified"]=> string(19) "2022-06-11 21:43:29" ["post_modified_gmt"]=> string(19) "2022-06-11 21:43:29" ["post_content_filtered"]=> string(0) "" ["post_parent"]=> int(0) ["guid"]=> string(37) "https://madridurbansports.com/?p=4216" ["menu_order"]=> int(0) ["post_type"]=> string(4) "post" ["post_mime_type"]=> string(0) "" ["comment_count"]=> string(1) "0" ["filter"]=> string(3) "raw" } [20]=> object(WP_Post)#6637 (24) { ["ID"]=> int(4174) ["post_author"]=> string(1) "3" ["post_date"]=> string(19) "2022-06-11 06:53:26" ["post_date_gmt"]=> string(19) "2022-06-11 06:53:26" ["post_content"]=> string(2232) "[vc_row full_width="stretch_row"][/vc_row][vc_column css=".vc_custom_1633510107869{background-color: #ffffff !important;}"][/vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]     Madrid Urban Sports has kicked off today in its second on-site edition and as in 2021 the Youngblood show has put the icing on the cake on this hot Friday. 16 local artists qualified in an online phase have met in the impressive Urban Stage of MUS 2022. Three hours of pure freestyle have delighted a committed crowd who jumped on every single battle. A team of judges captained by the two FMS players Tirpa and Sawi Elekipo sweated it out to decide the winner of this 2022 edition of Youngblood. Four great artists have been placed in a very tied semifinals. Fabiuki defeated Kinder, who fought with tooth and nails, with his fluent and well-crafted rhymes. The great Coletiyas has done the same with mibass, who has not let him breathe in any of the seconds of his battle. [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="4208,4206"] The final did not disappoint and either of the two finalists Coletiyas and Fabiuki literally gave their all on stage. But close battles also have a winner and the gold medal finally went to Coletiyas. A spectacular end of the party: The two winners have had the great honor to face off in a head to head with the two FMS artists: Tirpa and Sawi Elekipo. On Saturday 11 June, teams from pre-mini to senior will play in the biggest outdoor basketball circuit in Spain. The MUS will be its 2nd stop in this edition, the 10th since its creation in 2012. It has achieved record figures during its ten years of circuit: more than 100 stops, 45,000 players enjoying the circuit and more than 25,000 visitors visiting the 42 Spanish cities. [gallery size="medium" ids="2468,2466,2474"] In the last edition of Madrid Urban Sports, more than 373 players enjoyed two days full of basketball accompanied by 5,000 visitors who were delighted with the games and their great plays. The most 'urban' basketball format will take place in one of the most important national and international urban events. In addition, one of Spain's basketball personalities, Fernando Romay, ambassador of the Spanish Federation, visited the venue and chatted with the participants. It is a circuit organised by the Spanish Basketball Federation and sponsored by CaixaBank, to promote the practice of outdoor sports and to allow clubs from all over Spain to enjoy a free space to practice basketball. The Brit, with a very marked style with modern and risky tricks, stood out from the rest with his typical double flair perfectly executed, reaching more than 90 points in the final of the MUS 94.33. The Briton said after the event that "I knew I had to pull out my best tricks to be on the podium because the level at the MUS has been so high. The round was almost perfect and with the triple I'm going home with the gold, very happy and looking forward to more BMX in Madrid in 2023". Third place went to José Torres 'Maligno', a real whirlwind on the bike who earned a standing ovation from the crowd for his perfect rounds with a lot of grit. With the victory of Kieran Reilly, this second edition of BMX in Madrid Urban Sports closes with spectacular rounds, impossible tricks, and they march with their bikes to Paris to delight us in the French capital with their tricks.

Mastering the switch like no other skater has ever shown. Sw frontside hurricane revert and the fullcab backside lipslide on the main handrail of the skate plaza. The Colombian Olympian gave none of his rivals a chance. [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="4230,4232"] The MUS bronze medal went to Max Berguin from the Netherlands, who surprised the audience with well executed tricks and planks. Bigspin boardslides, noseslide bigsipin out and a smith fs feeble were some of his geniuses. The new generations of women's skateboarding have made their mark at the Madrid Urban Sports. In the Skate Women final the three medals have stayed in Spain. Daniela Terol took the gold with some very fluid rounds and perfectly ironed tricks. Afrika Criado and Sara Larranaga took silver and bronze respectively.
